I'm cravin Kahuku Garlic Shrimps. Pricey seafood goodness but worth every penny. There about $10 and up a plate.

Might take a visit to the North Shore side tomorrow for these goodness and do the Tourist thing. Hit up Matsumoto Shave Ice, Ted's Bakery, Koa Aina Burgers, and the massive waves maybe even turtle beach to watch turtles.

I got this mail today from HPI Racing and although I knew what it was 'cus I had one last year from HPI I'm still amazed by the gesture. Staff members signed it and best of all the address and name was hand written and not an address label. Now that showed some thought and respect. The littlest thing counts a whole lot.

This is why I will remain loyal to HPI/HB 'cus they showed some care and sincerity. I know its just a card but it showed so much more. Does your RC Drift Brand mail you a card and add some personal touches to it? If not then I don't know what to say. I mean you probably spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars buying your favorite brand's producsts and they could at least return the favor even by a simple annual Christmas Card with a personal touch... I'm just sayin...

Crown Works Garage - SEMA 2011

On my trip to Las Vegas last month which was the week before SEMA, I found out that my homie Tony P. of Crown Works Garage in California was on his way in to Las Vegas for the SEMA show. He drove in the day I was leaving Las Vegas for Hawaii and with destiny and luck in the works. I was able to see my homie for a bit before my flight back. He previously told me about his wagon that he was showcasing in SEMA and I wanted to see it and off course him before I leave. Though it seemed that it was slim that I would be able to see my homie before I leave, luck would have it that I and my family was able to see him even for an hour.

So to make a long story short. I got to see my homie and his sick ride. I know he wouldn't disappoint 'cus I know he does quality work. Sure enough I see the ride and I was blown away... DHAYM!... see for yourself below.

You really gotta know us to know our history. We go deep in the game.

Body Comp- Body has to be MOUNTED!!!!! to a rolling chassis(doesnt have to drive).the whole High Society Team will judge the body comp!!
Tandem Drift - Basic drift rules apply on clean line,drifting angle,and speed.
first is - 1 or 2 qualifying laps(looking for the hot lap)
Points system are - Best out of 5 points(clipping point) Per run,the driver that drifts closer than their opponent at each clipping point, will get awarded 1 point per clipping point. the driver with the most points at the end of 2 runs will move on to the next round.
Hot lap - is where the crowd is wowed and amazed at a driver on overall performance drifting and style(including body looks).WILL BE AWARDED FOR THAT!

This right here is Ion’s Discover DJ Computer DJ System that retails for about $110. I’ve had my eyes set on these since last year and thought it would be something good for my arsenal. I know what y’all are thinking, yes it looks like a toy and yes its not really that accurate, and yes its for minor/newbie DJs. I don’t disagree with you, but then again I do not call myself a DJ nor even dream of becoming one. I for one just needed something that can do the job that I needed it to do, simply just blend and a little bit of scratching, looping, droppin mixes. This is one that will definitely come in handy with a lot of visual projects that will be coming in the near future. But I did not want to fork out $100 for it only to be disappointed. So I kind of forgot about it…

Until yesterday while shopping at Toys R Us and I bumped in to this stack with an awesome price tag.

Do you see the price of this thing? Now tell me how in hell could you pass up on this deal? So I took it home, and immediately tried to play with it. I also started to reflect on my research on this from last year. I started to do more research on it and checked the YouTube vids and seen people’s comments on it. Yes, I agree with a lot of them vids and at the same time amazed at what some people or DJs can do with it.

Here’s an example of one and this happens to be the best one that I’ve seen so far.

Real talk, for the price compared to its capability… I say its worth it.

As we all now by now that Japan is now needing our help more than ever. With the massive earthquake then the devestating tsunami and now the on-going radioactive problem that they are now going through. Let us keep in mind that these events are affecting us as well. If you haven't felt or seen the affects yet you will soon. You will soon with the electronics and food goods. Its already starting with some of Japan foods and now the Japanese cars and electronics.

So you want to do something about it? There are many ways. Straight up is donations to the many organizations but the main one that sticks is the Red Cross. Second is purchasing the many T-shirts that has been generated where all profits or portions are being donated to the Red Cross. Even donating blankets, pillows, clothes, etc...

But instead of a .45 piece, I will be showing em a 50 cal. bullet and engraver. So that I can engrave the dude's name on the bullet in front of em. Some of my boys already know this scene by heart.

I know I'm not the only father that takes this scene to heart. Its funny but hits home for most dads.

If there is one thing about me that any one should know is that I'm a huge Converse fan. I have about 30+ pairs of Cons kicks in my closet and thats not counting ones I've owned in my lifetime so far. My pops and I use to hustle Chucks at the local market back in the day back home in the Philippines to feed our family. My pops wore Chucks on his Basketball games with his team called the Tailors back in the day. They were damn good too. Notice my dad's team name? now you know that the fabric industry/clothing industry is in my blood.

Chucks was the ish and still is to me to this day. I don't care for Nike or Michael Jordan like everybody else does. I am a Dr. J, Bird, Magic, Wade, and LA Lakers fan

I bumped into this video while youtube surfing one day during my lunch break. As you may have known that I am not a Nissan guy. I did owned a Nissan Pulsar and a Nissan Maxima back then of which I wasnt too impressed with. Back to me being not a fan of Nissan but rather a Toyota and Chevy/GM fanatic.

Until this vid I recently have much more respect for the Nissan Z specially this Z becaus a fellow Pilipino designed it. That to me is something huge and must be recognized. Im a proud Pinoy and this makes me even the more proud of Pilipinos. As the saying goes, "you put a Pilipino anywhere in the world and we will become the best at what we do".

So big ups to the 370 Z designer and keep on giving the Nismo lovers more and more amazing designed automobiles.

This is my shop and my Chevy Silverado and Toyota Yaris.

My latest addiction. Daym it. I told myself that I would never get hooked on any games specially on facebook. Then this Car Town game came oneday via a facebook friend "Wanna Race" request and then "click!"... that was it.
I spend about an hour to 3 on this thing when Im on it. Its fun for anyone who is into cars and customizing cars and races. The garage portion is good too... now I just gotta get more coins to get an xB that costs about $55k in coins...

Any of you remember this magazine? If you were, or are into RC Drifting then you knew or should've known about this magazine. I think it was the only magazine that catered specifically to RC Drifting. When I first knew about it I ordered it right away and then when I got mines I couldn't wait for the next issue. I got my next issue and then could not wait for the 3rd one and then the economy tanked and never heard or seen of this magazine again. I do wish that it comes back though because this magazine was our magazine for anyone who RC Drifts. The other magazines just cared about aircrafts, touring, and offroads. I do understand that they gotta cater to which brings in the money but once again they underestimate RC Drifting and the buying power of the RC Drifters. Anyways, I just wanna see this magazine back or someone make another one.

This is the very 1st team Slideway shirt that was ever done. This one is done up with the "SW" on the background of the Slideways text in the traditional Pilipino baybayin script. The back print shows off the sponsors.

This is the latest design done up in a very clean and ligible font. Colorways are an ode to D1 Grand Prix of Japan. Front is a 3 color hit and the back once again shows the sponsors.

All of these shirts were designed and printed by On Point Screen Printing & Designs. An exception to the box design on the 1st shirt on the back was done by SpelOner.

my E10 comp. chassis

My latest hpi.racing E10 chassis. Done so much to chassis and I'm not done yet. Need to get my Yeah Racing Suspension Arms and a better steering kit. This is my "go-to" comp. kit in Tandem Drift battles. I just love how this kit performs when its on but its very chanllenging when its not.

This is one sick @$$ bike. Its from SE Bike Co. called OM Flyer - $100 Wrap. Its a 26" frame and the colorway is madness not to mention the $100 graphics wrapped throughout the whole frame. Im not much of a fan of frames bigger than 21" but I would definitely rock this one. The colorway is one of my favorites and I just like the different approach to the graphics.
I don't where to get it or how much it cost but if you go to SE Bike's website you can locate a dealer nearest you or search it on the web.

Thats right my dream comes true from hpi.racing. I have heard of the 2010 and the 1969 Chevy Camaro 1/10 scale shells to be coming out of hpi. But I wasn't too sure of the '69 shell even though I knew that th 2010 was for sure coming already. Then I saw this sneak peek at the European show of the 1969 Camaro for the Sprint2 Sport.

Team Slideways Session last night was dope. I think we may have found our spot to session on a regular basis. We tested it out last night and it went off without a hitch. surface is a bit rough but nothing we can't hit slideways on. A few more trials to see if its a spot that we can't get any problems or get kicked out off and we should be there on a definite regular.

M4 Arts Foundation Fundraiser

Support this event going down this Saturday July 3, 2010 at Fresh Cafe in Downtown Honolulu from 2pm to 9pm. This is a fundraiser for Mighty4 Arts Hawai'i Foundation. Team Saiko - Mini Drift Comp.

This past Tuesday the 22nd of June at the weekly Team Saiko Drift session they decided to have something different other than the regular open track session. Team Saiko decided to have a Mini Tandem Drift Comp. and I was pretty fortunate enough to be able to attend it. Team Slideways represented in full force and for 3 out of the 4 Team Slideways members, it was there first Drift Comp. In which they did pretty well. It was definitely a good thing for the members to get a taste of a Tandem Drift Comp.

That night I went up against 4 guys at which I was very lucky to advance to the finals. At the Finals it was me with my Lt. Green Xprmnt Trueno Hachi and Roy with his Mad Mike Redbull/NFS Mazda RX8 replica for the win of the night. At the final I was very lucky to have won the Final comp for the night against one of the fastest skilled drifters.

So for the Winner of the night is a prize of unmentionable value. Honestly I wasnt expecting anything really but the guys at Team Saiko doesn't do it that way. To my surprise I was awarded with a Hobbietat gift certificate and moments later an unpainted shell was laid on my lap. When I looked down, to my surprise was the shell that I wanted since I first laid my eyes on it. What made it special was the fact that this shell is already sold out to my disappointment and there it was on my lap. What is this shell you ask?, its the picture above. The Proline Tansou Drift shell that looks like the Lexus IS... very nice shell. I really give it up to Team Saiko for such a great prize and a very special one at that.

In closing, I just wanted to give a huge shout out to Team Saiko, the rest of the compititors, and Hobbietat for the prizes. Big ups guys... keep it goin and keep it comin...

Here's an amazing dessert made with Ube. This is the Spanish inspired Ensemada. A really soft, moist, and a bit goowy bread or muffin; however you wanna refer it. All I know is that this so good and you can get this here in Hawaii only at the NEX outside kiosk. A lot of places have it in California though. I had first one at the airport in Manila.

I bump into this pic while browsing through Google image looking for pics of actual Ube. I've seen a lot of different types of foods made from Ube and I have never seen a donut yet. This looks really good. I'd love to try this if I ever make it or in New York at the restaurant where this is made from.

Project E10-CSD (update)

This should be the final set up for this project. Been tuning this kit for a while and went throug a grinded $30 Yokomo OD2.0 gear and burned a $150+ Novak ESC and finally solved it all with this. I found out that its better with a Tamiya black can brushed motor on 22t pinion gear. The top bar or rod solves the problem with the rear shaft cupjoint jumping out of alignment, and the hpi.racin Oni-Kyan adjustible arms are perfect for camber set up.

Now I just gotta fine tune it to make more controllable and figure out why it favors to kick out more on one side than going straight. Other than that its been pretty good and I love how it looks now. There is definitely more countersteering now...

I might need to mod a Yokomo prop shaft center oneway with this just to see if that helps it. Hyperdrift's SpelOner mentioned that a lot of the shaft driven CSD in the mainland are both using front oneway diff. and center oneway. Might also need to mod the Yokomo OD2.0 gear shaft to a Limited Slip Diff to help with straightaways and switchbacks...

Here's another Felgood Customs build or more like a rebuild. Had this body done a while back and threw it aside when the body kit was damaged. Then hpi.racing came out with Runfree bodykits and I saw the light. So I slapped on the new body kit and like new... ran it and it looks good.

BTW - this is one of the original Team Xprmnt Clothing Co. shell... be on the look out for a photoshoot of this and the xprmnt Levin for promos and maybe on the compition circuit...

This is one of Fit Bike Co.'s bikes for 2010 and I really love the oldschool white wall tires on this one. Im thinking of doing a xprmnt clothing co. colorway with this look and decals to match. Customization is the thing here. Probably go with gold accessories and green frame for the yellow and green xprmnt colorway...

The K9 above is Brutus, a military K9 at McChord, AFB.
He's huge - part Boxer and part British Bull Mastiff and tops the scales at 200 lbs. His handler took the picture. Brutus is running toward me because he knows I have some Milk Bone treats, so he's slobbering away! I had to duck around a tree just before he got to me in case he couldn't stop, but he did. Brutus won the Congressional Medal of Honor last year from his tour in Iraq . His handler and four other soldiers were taken hostage by insurgents. Brutus and his handler communicate by sign language and he gave Brutus the signal that meant 'go away but come back and find me'. The Iraqis paid no attention to Brutus. He came back later and quietly tore the throat out of one guard at one door and another guard at another door. He then jumped against one of the doors repeatedly (the guys were being held in an old warehouse) until it opened. He went in and untied his handler and they all escaped. He's the first K9 to receive this honor.. If he knows you're ok, he's a big old lug and wants to sit in your lap. Enjoys the company of cats.

Body Comp - March 14, 2009

There will be a $2.oo entry fee and free to all keikis under 12 years of age. All entry fee is handled at the door and it is in no way assessed by hawaiiscalemodels.com. There is also a $5.00 fee to enter statics with no limitations on entries. The Body Comp will be in the Team Saiko and hawaiiscalemodels.com booths and therefore display models for Team Saiko and hsm.com's unlimited entry paid for by the booth vendors (Saiko & hsm.com).

My main mission for this comp is to showcase and promote 1/10 R/C Drifting and VIP bodies to the static world. Also show the world the R/C Drifting community at its best and in full force. There will be a lot of activities and beautiful statics on display as well as for sale section on statics.

Half of one table for hsm.com will be reserved for all the different types of scale model categories to be showcased. The rest of the space will be for the comp and Team Saiko was generous enough to offer their tables for overflow entries.

Here are the rules for the Body Comp:

Must be an RC rolling chassis. statics and/or homemade chassis are welcomed but precedence will go to the rolling chassis at judging due to the difficulty of execution on a rolling chassis. If the static chassis are greatly executed or is just "the wow factor" then that will be in consideration. Drift cars (street, D1GP, or FD) only and VIP specific only with considerations for kei car & domestics(non DUB style). Attention to true specifics and detail is key to the judging of a VIP. Trust me, the judges knows if the vehicle qualifies in its specific categories...

A 1 - 10 scoring will be utilized with 1 being the worst and 10 being the best. Any ties will be determined by the entry that embodies all 4 criteria the closest.

It will be judge by these 4 criterias as follows:

1. Paint & Application (neatness & execution of decal application - multi-paint, neatness, originality)

2. Exterior mods(made parts takes precedence, originality, realisticallity, neatness, & execution)

3. Interior mods(made parts takes precedence, originality, realisticallity, neatness, & execution)

4. Display & use of materials (realisticallity, wow factor, originality, cleverness, execution)

Of all the days to have a dead battery; it had to be today. I parked about 5 - 6 blocks from where I work and I was excited to be heading home. Took a casual and relaxed stroll towards my car all the while invisionning my route prior to. Anxious to see my lil gal 'cus I missed her and so I continued to walk. Listenning to my iPod cranking Hyphy mixes from my boy E3's collection and then halfway to the car switched it up to some Pinoy culture ballads by my current fave Pinoy singer Ogie Alcasid. So at this point Im all chill and mindin' my own business. At about 10 feet from xBrmnt (my Scion xB), I fumbled with my keyless entry fob and attempted to keylessly unlock xBrmnt and I did not see nor hear xBrmnt unlock.... hmmm, must be the fob. So I gently whacked the fob on my palms and attempted again and "Bam!"... nothin'. So I unlocked it manually and attempted to start the car.... inserted the key and turned it and silence.... Dead battery?... so I checked the light switch lever and sure enough. I had left the headlights on from this morning. Oh well, can't do anything but call somebody... then it hit me; I forgot my cel phone at home... damn.... so I got out of the car and took 4 quarters and 2 dimes (no not brizzies - real dimes)... I walked around looking for pay phones and nothing... so I headed back towards work and placed my headphones in my ears and push the play button and vibin with the music again... so I'm just all chill... ain't nothin I can do anyways and no point gettin all mad. So I just keep on walkin. I spotted a pay phone at the park and went straight for it. In the mean time I didn't notice that my headphones was in my ears and no music....too busy thinkin. Got to the phone and called my girl and "Oh schnapps!" 50 cent local calls...wtf... last time I used the pay phone it costed 25 cents... I had 4 quarters and so I couldn't call whoevers for help. Didn't matter anyway 'cus the only number I know is my girl's... So she answered and I held for a bit while she attempted to do a 3-way call. That didn't work out too well... 5 minutes holding and I hear the change fall into the phone's depository bin and "click"... Reached into my pocket and pulled out 2 quarters, 2 dimes, and lint.... So instead of using the quarters, I thought, save it and just head for work and use the phone there. So headed for work and then it hit me again.... "damn" no music... oh well... so casually I walked towards work and surely enough I get there and pulled out my card key swiped it and "Fail"... no entry.... "Fudge cake!".... damn.... So I went for the security tower and asked to use the phone and started calling... (To be continued)

Here's a 1st time pic of my Kei Car VIP (in the works) with some mods. I got her brand spanking new in '08 and this day was the only time I've ever took a picture of her... Its an '08 Scion xB or Toyota Rumion in Japan that I've dubbed xBrmnt because Ido a lot of xprmnt business with it and she will someday be the silent spokes model for xprmnt. Currently she is transporting the most important VIP of all... my lil gal.

This is one of many to come out of xprmnt's new line for 2010. This time around were going back to roots and raw designs. Emphasis on raw artworks and images, and Hawaii culture be it modern or traditional. Hip Hop culture is always at heart but like we said in the beginning, we are not limited to or constrained by one genre or idea. xprmntATION is what we are all about and that is what we will do. Nobody can hold us down nor desuade us from the goals that we set forth. Those that misjudged us or desuade us keeps us strong and motivated. We welcome challenges and we will overcome any that comes our way. Gone are the days of ignorance to the fake hearted amongst us.
